Default Sky Broadband Router, it's wireless but we've connected it to the computer,

can .......? can people hack into it and use my internet connection ?? How do I password protect it ? do i need to take action or do I sit back and relax ?
it's a wireless enabled router, but I've connected it by wires, how do I turn off the wireless connection ? because the wireless light is on, didn't say anything in the manual
thank you, i've done that. Does that mean anyone could have gone on there and got on my settings? I've changed the settings password now, but I am right to assume everyones are the same ?

Do you mean you have a wired connection from the computer to the router?

If so then you can turn off the wireless on the router.

If you don't want to turn it off then you are at risk. Do not sit back and relax. You must do something about your security!

It will be in the manual - how to set up wireless security.
