My COMPUTER DOES NOT RECOGNIZE MY MOTOROLA CLUTCH i465 as a PHONE, only as MODEM?

I have installed the proper drivers and when i plug it in using my usb cable it just recognizes my phone as an iden modem, how can i make it so that it recognizes it as a phone?
