blinking red? My DSL light is flashing red, and I called the ISP and ran tests and nothing could be helped. There's either a poor signal to my modem, the modem is just not picking up ANY signal and cannot sync, or the modem is broken which I assume it is, but the power light is still green? If I buy a new modem, I mean brand spankin new, would the problem persist? Cause if it does, that's a big middle finger to my face. You know what I mean? So, would buying a new modem for ATT DSL stop the DSL light from blinking red?

PS. My modem has no router, it's 5 years old, and it's a Speedstream 5100. First time it does this. The lights are like this in order...

Power- green
Ethernet-green
DSL-flashing red
Internet- Off
Activity- blinking green when the computer is on
