Default Configuring 2Wire 2700HG-S Gateway to work with my cable modem - Need...

...step-by-step instructions? I have a 2Wire 2700HG-S Gateway that I'd like to use with my cable modem. How can I set it up to work correctly?

I know that the 2Wire is a DSL modem/wireless router. And I have read all over the place that people are using their dsl m/r's without issue ... the trouble I have is figuring out how to do it.

I want to use the router portion of my 2Wire with my regular cable modem.

Can anybody help me with the basic step-by-step? I'm a non-techie, so would appreciate the help!

im not reallyy sure if it would work since you have a dsl gateway and a cable modem .. but usually modem works with router bysettingg the modem to bridged mode then set the router to pppoe connection(username and pw )
how to set the gateway to pppoe .. if that gateway is from at&t open ie type 192.168.1.254 on the address bar the click broadband link advance settings.. scrolldown lookk for the username and pw and type there your current email and pw from your internet service provider.. then click on save, u'l be redirected to the summary page ..make sure that the internet and dsl link are showing connected ..
before you do all these steps call your isp for them to help you bridge the your cable modem
